Welcome to Logger. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Logger mobile application. By using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Logger, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Service
Logger is a travel log platform for international tourists. It allows users to:
• Post Logs: Share text, images, location data, and categories (e.g., "Discovery" or "Inconvenience").
• Explore: View other users' logs on a home feed or an interactive map.
• Filter & Trends: Discover content using category filters, Keyword Trends (e.g., Anime/Manga IP), and Location Focus (hotspots within a 500m radius).
• Interact: React to posts with "Helpful" badges or emojis.
• Manage: View, delete, or share your own logs via your My Page.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Logger. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18 but at least 13, you represent that you have reviewed these Terms with your parent or legal guardian and that they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
5. User-Generated Content & Conduct
You are responsible for the content you post. By posting on Logger, you represent that:
• You own the content or have the necessary rights to share it.
• Your content does not violate any local laws or the privacy of others.
• You grant Logger a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, and sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the service. This includes, for example, featuring popular logs on our official social media accounts or using aggregated data for tourism trend reports.
While this license is perpetual to ensure the integrity of our historical data and statistical analysis, you may delete your individual logs or your account at any time, which will remove your content from public view within the app.
6. Prohibited Actions
You agree not to:
• Post illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Post spam or misleading content
• Share personal data of others without permission
• Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the service
• Misusing service features
• Interfering with or disrupting the normal operation of the service, systems, or products (including any attempt to do so)
7. Prohibited Content and Intellectual Property
Photos posted to the Service (Logger) must be taken by the user personally at the location depicted. Users may not repost or upload images or text to which a third party holds copyright without authorization.Logger displays trends related to certain intellectual property, including anime, manga, and similar works; all rights to such properties remain with their respective owners. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any photos or descriptions they post are lawful and do not infringe the rights of others.Photos and text submitted by users may be quoted or featured within the Service, or in notifications and newsletters (such as monthly trend roundups) sent to users, together with the poster's account name. By submitting content, users agree to this use.
8. Location Data & Privacy
Logger relies heavily on GPS data to provide map-based services and "Location Focus" trends.
Visibility: When you post a log, your location data and images will be visible to other users on the map and feed.
Permissions: Use of the Service's core features requires users to grant the app permission to access location data. For information on how such data is handled, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
User Guidelines and Disclaimer
- Users should refrain from posting content at locations that may compromise personal privacy or safety—such as one's home, workplace, or school—or that may infringe upon the privacy of others.
- Logger shall not be liable for any disputes arising from location data posted by users, including but not limited to identification of individuals by third parties, stalking, or other damages, except where such disputes result from Logger's willful misconduct or gross negligence. All posts are made at the sole discretion and risk of the user.
9. Notifications
By using Logger, you agree to receive:
In-app Notifications: For reactions (Helpful/Emojis) to your posts.
Push Notifications: For reactions and updates on Keyword/Location trends. You can manage these in your device settings.
10. Account Management & Deletion
Users can delete their individual posts at any time via "My Page."
Logger reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Moderation
The Service reserves the right to remove or hide any content that it determines, in its sole discretion, to violate these Terms, without prior notice. Depending on the severity of the violation, the Service may also take action against the relevant user, including issuing a warning, restricting posting privileges, or suspending the user's account. The Service does not, however, guarantee that it will review all content prior to posting.
12. Third-Party Services
Logger may rely on third-party services (e.g., authentication providers). Their respective terms may apply.
13. Disclaimer and Safety
Accuracy and Discrepancy
Logger uses third-party map data (such as Google Maps) and user-generated content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the maps, location data, or logs. The actual conditions on the ground may differ from the map or content in the app.
User Responsibility
You must exercise your own judgment and use the app at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your actions and their consequences.
Safety
Users must follow actual traffic rules, signs, and local safety guidelines. Do not use the app while driving or in any manner that creates a safety hazard.
14. Modifications to the Service
Logger reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including but not limited to the Keyword Trends and Location Focus features. Logger will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of any material changes where practicable.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Logger shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if these Terms are violated.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
